St George's Surgery is open Monday to Friday 08.30 - 18.30.
We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays.
Patients are seen by appointment only. Appointments can be made by telephoning
Routine appointments are usually made with the doctor of your choice, however it may be necessary to see another doctor if your problem is urgent. Appointments are 10 minutes long. If you have more than a few problems, or a complicated one, it may be necessary to make a further appointment. Appointments are for 1 person only.
St George's Surgery, a long established practice, originated in Gloucester Road, then 139 St George's Road before moving to 129 St George's Road in 1968. It is from there the surgery has continued to grow and flourish to its present size of 4 partners and 2 salaried doctors.
The move to its current site in April 1999 as part of the St Paul's Medical Centre has provided a unique, modern and well designed concept offering a wide range of facilities including a pharmacist, optician, chiropractor, health authority dental service, on-site physiotherapy, chiropody, reflexology, aromatherapy and phlebotomy services. We have disabled access, and baby changing facilities.
The new St George's Surgery retains its belief in providing a good effective doctor/patient relationship within a friendly environment keeping the feel and old fashioned values of the family general practice.
